What about Church Finances?
The church's ministries are supported by the tithes and offerings of those who attend. We believe in tithing, which technically is giving 10 percent of our income to the work of God in the local church. However, we believe tithing is the floor of giving, not the ceiling.
We facilitate giving in our Sunday service by receiving an offering. The money collected is recorded by a team of “counters.” The pastor then receives a weekly report of the total amount of the income, but he does not see the names of those who gave or the amount of each individual tithe. At the end of the year, in accordance with the IRS, a report of your giving is made available to you. Monthly reports showing an overview of the entire finances of the church are given to the deacons each month. An Annual Report is offered to all members/partners at the annual meeting. In addition to the tithe, there are several other opportunities for giving. These are listed bellow.
Types of Offerings at ValleyChurch
Missions: Supports our missionaries and missions projects. In addition, 10 percent of all monies received in our General Fund are invested in the Mission/Evangelism Fund to multiply the Kingdom of God.
Vision Fund: Funds designated projects that fulfill the vision and mission of ValleyChurch. This may include funds to facilitate staff hiring, launch new locations, or anything else that might fulfill our mission and vision.
Benevolence Fund: Helps those in need of assistance both within the church and outside the church.
